K4 & K5

Kindergarten

Awakening Curiosity and a Joy of Learning

K4 and K5 at GCA are gentle introductions to formal learning: while beginning phonemic awareness, number sense, and love of the arts are a parts of the curriculum, at GCA, we want K4 a to be an awakening of curiosity and joy in learning, as well as the initial awareness of living, playing, and growing in a community of friends. K4 is offered on a Tuesday/Thursday morning schedule, a Monday/Wednesday/Friday morning schedule, as well as a Monday-Friday morning schedule. Afternoon Enrichment is also available until 3 pm.

K5 is another foundational year, with the joy of learning to read at its center. K5 students are introduced to mathematical concepts, begin to learn cursive handwriting, and enjoy recitation, scripture memory, and music as well. K5 is offered Monday-Friday on a morning schedule, with Afternoon Enrichment available until 3 pm.

Parent Testimonials

We have been overjoyed by our daughter’s experience in K4 at GCA. Her teacher is so sweet and patient and she’s giving her students the foundation needed to love learning for years to come. We are blown away with how much our daughter is learning and retaining, even with only being in the two-day a week program. We now know that she will be well equipped to excel in kindergarten, and we are confident that we made the right choice when enrolling her in K4 at GCA!
