We desire that all GCA faculty and staff members have an active and faithful walk with Christ, a true love for teaching children, and a commitment to the classical, Christian educational model alongside an evident love of learning and mastery of their individual disciplines that inspires students to do the same.
Dr. Bouvier has over 20 years of Administrative experience in both Christian and classical schools. His degrees include a B.B.A. in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from Augusta University, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Covenant College, and a Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership with a specialization in Culture and Social Studies from the University of Alabama. In addition, he received his South Carolina teacher certification from the University of South Carolina and is currently certified by both South Carolina and Georgia.
Dr. Bouvier and his wife, Sheri, have two grown children. The Bouviers are members at Fellowship Presbyterian Church where Dr. Bouvier regularly teaches adult Sunday school classes.
Dr. Freeman has served at GCA in several roles; first in both the History and Bible departments and then as Upper School Principal. Currently, as Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Freeman is responsible for maintaining GCA’s commitment to our Academic Plan.
Dr. Freeman earned a B.A. in Christian Studies from North Greenville University and a Masters of Divinity and Ph.D in Apologetics from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Russell and his wife Katie have three children who attend school at GCA. The Freemans attend Christ the Redeemer Church in Greenville, where Dr. Freeman serves as an elder.
Mr. Murphy has served at GCA in several roles; as History, Bible, Computer, Logic, and Mock Trial teacher, as well as a House Governor. He currently serves as Upper School Principal. As a veteran educator, he is responsible for supporting Upper School faculty and promoting a classical culture among Upper School students and families.
Mr. Murphy earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Masters in Education from Bob Jones University. Michael and his wife Abbie have one son who attends GCA. The Murphys are members at Palmetto Hills Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Smith served as a GCA Upper School teacher and Athletic Director following many years in Greenville County schools. He brings a wealth of experience and common sense to GCA’s Grammar School, where he is responsible for cultivating a sense of wonder and joy in learning from our smallest learners to those in fifth grade. Jeremy and his wife Lana have two GCA students; one graduating this year and one in tenth grade. The Smiths are long-time members of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Murphy has earned both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History from Bob Jones University. She comes to GCA with multiple years of admissions, communications, and teaching experience. Mrs. Murphy is married to Michael, GCA’s Upper School Principal, and they have one son attending GCA. The Murphys are members of Palmetto Hills Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Lansner earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts, and he and his family have recently moved to the Upstate from Enfield, Connecticut. Jeff and his wife Kristen have two children, and their oldest attends GCA. The Lansners attend the Harrison Bridge Campus of Grace Church in Simpsonville, and currently serve as teachers within the children’s ministry.
Mrs. Fuller has worked at GCA since 2019. Born in Spain and raised in Australia, she has previously worked in pharmaceutical research and has a degree in office administration. Mrs. Fuller is married to Tim, and has three daughters enrolled at GCA. She and her family are members of Grace Bible Church in Moore.
