Greenville Classical Academy's annual State of the School meeting was held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the WRPC Choir/Lecture Room. This meeting was for all GCA parents (current and future) and GCA faculty and staff members. The meeting lasted approximately one hour.

The special speaker for the evening was Rev. Chad Lawrence who is the Founding Headmaster of Holy Trinity Classical Christian School in Beaufort, SC.

Rev. Lawrence received his B.A. from Grove City College in Grove City, PA.  After two years as a missionary, he entered the teaching profession in California earning a multiple subjects teaching credential through the California State University in Bakersfield.  During his time as an educator, he was named Franklin School Teacher of the Year and awarded the Kern County Excellence in Teaching Award.  Discerning a call to the ordained ministry, in 2006 he and his family moved from Bakersfield, CA to Ambridge, PA, where he earned a Master in Divinity Degree from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry. He was also awarded the Hebrew Exegesis Award, the Henning Award for Expository Biblical Preaching, and the Senior Leadership Prize.  Rev. Lawrence is now an ordained priest in the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina serving at the Parish Church of St. Helena in Beaufort, SC.  He and his wife Wendy have four daughters, Esther, Sarah, Sydney, Laura Joy.

To make it easier for both parents to attend, GCA provided child care free of charge during the meeting.   To show appreciation for attendance, each adult who attended the meeting received a free gift.

We appreciate each and every member of the GCA family and we look forward to celebrating with you at future State of the School meetings to inform you how God is working and blessing GCA.  To God be the glory.
