Enrollment Process

Thank you for your interest in Greenville Classical Academy. We understand the importance of placing your child in a school where they will flourish and become all that God has created them to be. We are honored that you have chosen to apply for admission to our school and will treat your application with the care and seriousness it deserves.

Below are the necessary forms for you to complete. These forms and the additional items listed must be submitted to GCA before your application is complete:

  1. Completed Application for Admission for New Families (PDF)
  2. Completed Application for Admission for New Students (PDF)
  3. Check for $75 per student application fee for Lower School applicants; Check for $25 for application fee for Upper School applicants
  4. Completed Supplemental Admissions Questionnaire (PDF)
  5. Pastoral Reference Form (PDF); parent should forward to pastor
  6. A copy of the most recent standardized test scores for each student applying for Grades 3 and above (e.g. Stanford Achievement Test or Iowa Test of Basic Skills, etc.) 
  7. A copy of the report cards from the three most recent grading terms for each student applying 
  8. A portfolio of the student’s recent academic work for each student applying for 1st grade or above (two recent math assignments, two recent writing assignments, and a list of recent books read) for Lower School applicants; Upper School applicants may be asked to provide a portfolio during the interview process
  9. Transcript Request Letter (PDF) with a parent’s signature for each student applying for 1st grade or above 
  10. Upper School Course Registration Form (Upper School applicants only) with a check for $50 registration fee

Upon receipt of the above documentation, a testing appointment will be scheduled for your child. Testing will include assessment in reading, writing, math, and grammar. After testing is completed, the office will contact you to arrange an interview with the Principal. 

Class size is limited; therefore, you are encouraged to ensure all necessary documents are submitted in a timely manner. New applicants who meet all of the admissions requirements will be enrolled in available openings on a first-come, first-served basis. Financial Aid

Greenville Classical Academy has a limited amount of funds set aside for financial aid for full-time students. GCA uses the services of Independent School Management's "Financial Aid for School Tuition" - FAST - to assist in assessing a family's eligibility for financial aid. The cost for this service is $34. Priority will be given to those families who complete the required online application by March 31st. A portion of the financial aid budget is reserved for newly enrolled families and will be made available on a first come - first served basis. Tuition & Fees

Dress Code


GCA’s daily dress code requires a navy blue, white or burgundy collared shirt with sleeves (e.g., polos, turtlenecks, oxfords or blouses) and khaki or navy blue slacks or shorts.   Girls may also wear skirts, skorts, or jumpers.  Please see the Student-Parent Handbook for designated suppliers, specific requirements, Dress Uniform, and Casual Uniform before purchasing any items intended to be worn at school.
